My philosophy of adult education derives from my personal experiences as an adult learner. I believe in the facilitated growth and development of a person utilizing free will, self-efficacy, and self-actualization which is rooted in two schools of thought: Humanism and progressivism and informed by two learning theories; Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Jack Mezirow's Transformative Learning Theory.
